With 15 years of industry experience, Grapevine founder Gabrielle Kennedy knows how the big and smaller lenders operate.

With insider knowledge and a passion for customer service, she is now on a mission to help her clients gain financial control and quickly achieve their goals.

A Shoalhaven local, Gabrielle was just 24 when she was appointed as the Branch Manager at IMB Vincentia winning a swag of awards for customer service. It was a meteoric rise having started as a teller just two years earlier.

In 2011, Gabrielle moved to Westpac where she was responsible for the banking needs of small and median enterprises. She prided herself on finding solutions to help businesses in the Nowra, Illawarra and Batemans Bay regions to achieve their goals and importantly improve cash flow.

She later moved into car finance and insurance working for dealerships on the South Coast, before utilising her experience to become a mortgage broker.

“I was treating my jobs as my own business and that is what led me to decide to actually start my own business,” Gabrielle said.

“I don’t seek the biggest commission cheque that I can get – this might not be seen as a smart move for my business  – but I feel that if I look after my client then they will tell their friends and family and they will know to come back to me.”

 

Her dedication and high level of personal care for her clients is her secret asset, in an industry where often clients feel like a number not a person.

Over the decades, Gabrielle has formed solid relationships with local real estate agents and builders, presenting her as the ideal choice for buyers looking to make a sea change or purchase a holiday home. But her knowledge isn’t limited to just the South Coast. Her experience in the home, personal, motor vehicle and business finance sectors means she is able to help customers Australia-wide.

“I know how the banks work – they need to look after their clients – and if they are not going to do it, then I am more than happy to do it for them,” Gabrielle said.
